Last month here on the blog of Hotel Angela we have recommend you to visit the Interactive Music Museum of Malaga (MIMMA) due to its fantastic entertainment program.

Today we would like to recommend another great museum in Malaga that is currently housing a very interesting exhibition.

The museum we are talking about is the Patrimony Museum of Malaga ( MUPAM) and its exhibition is about Malaga raisins.

This exhibition in fact started on the 17th of October and it was meant to finish on Sunday the 28th of January, but due to the big number of visitors it has received it ended up getting extended until this Sunday the 11th of February.

We generally relate Costa del Sol to sea, sun, fishing and holiday makers, and we tend to forget that agriculture is also important here, to the point that the muscatel grape industry is one of the most outstanding in the region.

The exhibition about Malaga raisins is composed of 105 beautiful illustrations that back in the day were used to decorate the packaging of the raisins exported in the 19th century and the first third of the 20th to far away places like New York, London, Buenos Aires or Stockholm.

The Patrimony Museum ( MUPAM), opened in 2007, and it is located in Malaga city centre in the well-known Paseo de Reding, so getting there won’t be too difficult for you.

If right now you are enjoying a lovely holiday with us at Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, and you fancy having a great day in Malaga exploring it and visiting cool exhibitions, ¡the Malaga Patrimony Museum is the perfect starting point to do so!
