Torremolinos, one of the best known towns on Costa del Sol, is having a big celebration this week. From Thursday the 26th to Sunday the 29th of September Torremolinos, only 13 miles away from Fuengirola, will celebrate its fair.
This fair is in honour of its patron saint, Saint Michael the Archangel. During the morning and afternoon it will take place in the city centre while in the evening it will be at the fairground.
During the festivities Rocío choirs and other music bands will perform in different points of the city centre, so dancing and joy are more than guaranteed.
The fair lasts 4 days but the 29th of September is the most important one of them all as it is Saint Michael’s Day. That day at 12:30 P.M at the Church named after this saint there will be a mass in its honour and in the evening, from 7:00 P.M there will be a parade across the main streets of the town.
The access to Torremolinos is very easy thanks to the train line that connects Fuengirola with Malaga and other coastal resorts.
