9th Edition of La Cazuela de la Abuela


The weather here might be absolutely brilliant, but it is winter after all, so there is nothing better than having some lovely comfort food, and this is why Fuengirola organizes the popular food route called “La Cazuela de la Abuela” around this time of year.

This year in fact will be its 9th edition and many local bars and restaurants will participate in it. From Friday the 6th till Sunday the 22nd of March they all will offer a delicious casserole and a drink (glass of wine, beer, soft drink or water) for only 2,50€.

As in the past 8 years, the Rivera Beach Club, which belongs to our sister hotel Hotel Yaramar, will also participate this year with a tasty bean and seafood casserole that has tomato, peppers, garlic, beans, squid, mussels and langoustines as main ingredients… It sounds lovely, right?

II Edition of the Gourmet route in Mijas


As you know at Hotel Angela we love good food, so this week on our blog we would like to recommend you the excellent gourmet route organised by the Mijas Council.

After the great success of last year, this second edition of the gourmet route started on the 10th of January and will be on until Sunday the 10th of March.

7 well-known restaurants in Mijas Pueblo participate in it (La Fuente, Restaurante Fiesta, Mesón de Fede, Chema’s Terrace, Maguiñez, Restaurante Triana y Koko Bistro) and for a fixed price of 19 euros per person each of these restaurants offer a full menu that consists of a starter, a main dish, a dessert and some wine.

A gourmet passport will be given to those who order the gourmet menus. The passports will have to be handed in at the tourist office of Mijas or La Cala for a chance to participate in a draw.

If you love tasting new things while on holiday, you have the fortune of being currently here and you were also planning to visit Mijas, we certainly recommend you give a try to this fabulous gourmet route.

The Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola 2019


This week here on the blog of Hotel Angela we have the pleasure to announce the arrival of the great and much-awaited Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola.

This will be its 11th edition as since it first started in 2009 the number of visitors who come to our town to make the most of it has not stopped increasing.

The Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola started last Friday the 1st of November, it will be on till Sunday the 17th of November and the price of a tapa and a drink is only 2,50 €.

By the way, did you know that the Rivera Beach Club, which belongs to our sister hotel Hotel Yaramar, will participate again for the 7th time in a row?

Its friendly head chef, Salvador, who is now an expert in this kind of cuisine has prepared a fun and cheeky tapa with expectacular flavours.

The name he has given to his tapa is “Duo Exotico” and it consists of a bed of fried leek with a little sack of crab stuffed filo pastry on top as well as a langoustine covered in brick pastry, soy sauce, sweet and sour sauce, a cherry tomato and a reduction of balsamic vinegar.
