This week there is something special in the air. The reason might be that the International Festival of Fuengirola, one of the most awaited events of the year, is about to start.
Since it first edition, 21 years ago, the International Festival of Fuengirola has been hosted at the Fuengirola Fairground, a perfect location for you as Hotel Angela is just a few metres away from it.
This festival has been a real success since its very beginning to the point that it has become a reference on Costa del Sol.It is because of this that this 2015 it is expected to surpass the million of visitors.
This year the International Festival will start on Wednesday, the 29th of April and will finish on Sunday the 3rd of May.
These 5 days those who visit it will be able to enjoy the traditional food and culture of the 27 countries and the 6 Spanish regions that will be represented in it.
These countries are spread across the 5 continents, being Ireland, Greece, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Bulgary, United Kingdom, Portugal, Norway and France the European representitatives, together with Spain which will be represented by 6 of its regions: Asturias, Galicia, Comunidad Valenciana, Basque Country and Madrid. All of the above mentioned countries and regions will have their own “caseta” where visitors can enjoy their most traditional meals and have fun with the entertainment provided.
From the American continent Bolivia, The Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, Cuba, Colombia, Jamaica and Hawaii will be the ones participating on it so there will be food and live shows from these countries in their correspondent “caseta” too.
The reprentatives of Africa are Algeria, Egypt and Morocco, while the only ones of Asia and Oceania are India and Australia… As you can see by visiting the International Festival of Fuengirola you will have the feeling you have travelled around the world without having left Fuengirola!
