Did you know that about a month ago the prestigious magazine “Science” published that the paintings found in a cave in Malaga were done 20.000 years before the arrival of our species?
The cave is in Ardales, a beautiful village in inland Malaga, about 43 miles away from Fuengirola.
This cave was found by chance in 1821 after an earthquake and has over a thousand paintings. These paintings are the oldest in Europe as they were not done by Homo Sapiens but by Neanderthals.
The Cave of Ardales can be visited all year round, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 A.M., prior reservation by calling (+0034) 952 45 80 46.
Entry price is 10€ for adults and 5€ for childen, but this price not only includes a visit to the cave but also a visit to the History and Tradition Museum of Ardales.
If you are planning to come to Hotel Angela, and you are interested in prehistory, we certainly recommend you visit it as we think you will really enjoy it.
All you need is some comfy shoes and to be a bit of an adventurer.
Make the most of your holiday at Hotel Angela and discover our past!
