Since the blog of Hotel Angela was created this was meant to be a resource to allow you to know a little bit more about our staff, to keep you updated during our past refurbishment, to recommend you things to do and places to see while on holiday on Costa del Sol and to talk about health, local cuisine and typical products. Typical Andalusian Breakfast - Hotel Ángela Fuengirola

On this entry we would like to tell you about a very typical Andalusian breakfast, so today we will focus on health and gastronomy.

Breakfast is the first meal of the day and the most important as having it or not can certainly affect our health. If we have no breakfast or if we only have a coffee we will surely be less energetic, our mood will be worse, we will struggle to concentrate and as our glucose levels will be lower we will be less efficient.

In fact, breakfast will help us to lose weight, although many might think the opposite. By having breakfast we speed up our metabolism, which will help us to fight against obesity.

It is true though that in order to lose weight we have to eat healthy food. The typical Andalusian breakfast is quite a light one, therefore the perfect option if we want to slim down as it contains many healthy ingredients which are part of the Mediterranean diet.

These ingredients are bread, olive oil, tomato and salt which can get combined with milk, juice or coffee.

The best bread to have is rustic bread, though bread with seeds, wholemeal bread or even white bread is not a bad option either.

A piece of bread gets toasted and a bit of olive oil is poured over it with a pinch of salt. Many people also like to rub a clove of garlic on the bread before adding the oil. To finish it off some fresh tomato, either squeezed or in thin slices, is added to the bread.

As you can see a typical Andalusian breakfast is quick and easy to prepare and the cost of its ingredients is not very high.

If you would like to have such a beautiful healthy meal you might like to know that in the breakfast buffet of Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, you can find all the ingredients you need to prepare a typical Andalusian breakfast… Will you give it a go?
