Get to know: Antonia Aguilera

Some of our most frequent guests probably know Antonia Aguilera. This post will allow you to get to know a little bit more about her. She was born in Villanueva de Tapia a town in Málaga and has been working with us for 25 years by now. Actually last Christmas she received a gold watch, the company’s present for those 25 years of excellent service. She has worked in the restaurant and the snack bar before becoming part of the administrative office at our hotel. She is one of our colleagues that works behind the scenes and it is very important for us that you meet all of them because we are all a big family that could not do without anyone.

Antonia, like most of our colleagues, tells us that what she likes the most about working at Hotel Angela is “to meet a lot of people”, and she gives us an example of a fun anecdote that happened to her with a spanish bullfighter:

“I gave the bill to Jose María Manzanares and he dedicated it to me thinking I was asking him for an autograph!”

She also recalls a time when “a guest gave me a rose and said: Mrs., you are a rose”. From her habit of “wanting to have everything under control, and as far as I can reach” she has a message for all our guests, which reflects very well what the whole team thinks:

“I would like all our guests to tell us more about their preferences, this way we could adapt even more to your needs; and also would like you to know that we all work very hard so that your holidays are the best possible ever.”

Have you seen the pictures? Isn’t it great to see how she has developed inside our company? We are very proud of having people like her in our team, this is how over the years we have become a great family. Next month you will get to meet another one of us… Meanwhile, if you want to say something to Antonia (we call her Toñi, which is s short version of her name in Spanish), make sure to do so in our Facebook page.

Meet our team

Hotel Angela teamOne of the most valued characteristics of our Hotel Angela in Fuengirola is the familiarity. The whole staff team is dedicated and hard working to make our guests feel like at home.  The way we have selected each member of our team has differentiated our service from others.

We know you like getting to know our staff more closely, knowing what they like, their hobbies and even their family life. You like sharing with them anecdotes and special occasions with them during your holidays. This is why we have given out a questionnaire to all the staff members where they tell us a little more about their life, some hidden habits they have, they  recommend places to visit and event tell us some funny stories.

Stay tuned to this blog because each month we will present one of our colleagues, even those that you do not see because they work behind the scenes, but that are also crucial for our team to be complete and balanced.

Closing to refurbish

Dear guests,

Cerramos por reformas - Closing to refurbish

As you know our beloved Hotel Angela is being refurbished slowly to update it and make it even more comfortable for your stays in Fuengirola. Unfortunately we have arrived to the point where we have to close our hotel for a few months to finish up the work.

Through this letter we would like to inform you that this will take place this year from the 1st of November till the March 2013. We do realise many of you are already trying to make a reservation with us, finding that it is not possible and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

We are sure you understand we have to take care of our hotel to make sure we can continue providing our service as we have been doing since 1974. Although we will miss you on those months, and especially on Christmas when we always have most of our “family” here, we would like to let you know that you can still come to stay with us at our sister hotels Yaramar and Florida where you will probably get to see many of us.

Understanding our hotel is your second home by now, we will keep you updated through here in our blog and on facebook where we hope we can share with you a little peek into the changes being done. Please do not hesitate to contact us through this channels during our “absence”.

Meanwhile we would like to remind you that until November there is still time to come and visit us before we take our little break. We hope to see you soon and can’t wait to share with you the reopening.

As always we remain at your disposal for any questions or suggestions you might have.

Best regards,

The Management.
