Nativity Scenes in Fuengirola

24Déc

Christmas is finally here, and because of this today on the blog of Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, we have a very special and Christmassy recommendation.

For the second year in a row the Fuengirola Council has organised an adorable exhibition that includes Nativity scenes made by children from 12 local schools using recycled materials.

The exhibition called “My School Nativity Scene 2“is free to visit from Tuesday to Sunday till the 13th of January, and it is on display in Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola.

In Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola, besides seeing the fun nativity scenes created by children, you will also be able to enjoy a small exhibition that contains different nativity scenes owned by doctor Jose Manuel Garcia Verdugo.

If you are a big fan of Nativity scenes, once you visit Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola, we recommend you go to Plaza de Los Reyes Catolicos, as this is where Fuengirola’s official Nativity Scene is placed for the third year in a row.

Fuengirola’s official nativity scene is in the middle of the square inside a big glass box, so it can be visited any day at any time.

We hope you enjoy Christmas in Fuengirola!

Fuengirola Christmas light show

17Déc

Last week, here on the blog of Hotel Angela, your holiday in Fuengirola, we recommended you visit the capital of Costa del Sol to see its stunning Christmas lights.

Today our suggestion is again very Christmassy, but this time you won’t have to go that far to enjoy it.

Why? Because in Fuengirola we are very lucky to also have beautiful Christmas lights with music and light effects.

The music and light Christmas show is on daily at 7:00 P.M., 7:30 P.M., 8:00 P.M., 8:30 P.M. and 9:00 P.M., until the 6th of January, in the giant bauble set on Plaza de España, right in the centre of Fuengirola.

Well, if you have decided to celebrate the festive season here with us at Hotel Angela, we recommend you make the most of your stay by visiting the centre of Fuengirola to see how beautiful our town looks this special time of the year.

Malaga’s Christmas lights 2018

10Déc

It feels like yesterday when we were celebrating the start of 2018 and now we are in December, and Christmas can now be felt in the air.

As you know at Hotel Angela we are massive fans of Christmas as everybody is much more cheerful and towns and cities are busier and they look beautiful with lovely Christmas lights.

Malaga is in fact one of the most popular cities in Spain for its beauty during Christmas, as its city centre, and especially Calle Larios, look absolutely amazing this time of year.

The Christmas lights in Calle Larios are always fantastic, and their design is stunning as it is inspired in cathedrals.

Malaga’s Christmas lighting opening ceremony 2018 was on Friday the 30th of November, since then until the 6th of January, the beautiful lights will be on daily from 6:30 P.M. till 2:00 A.M.

As in previous years, there will be a music and light shows, though this year instead of twice it will be 3 times a day (at 6:30 P.M, 8:00 P.M and 9:30 P.M).

The music themes chosen this time are “Rondo veneziano-Zodiaco”, ‘Rondo veneziano-Música fantasía’, ‘Villancico altozano’ by Café Quijano and “Cosas de la Navidad” by Raúl Charlo.

If you have the fortune of staying at Hotel Angela this December, we certainly recommend you not to miss a visit to Malaga city centre.

Because Christmas in Costa del Sol is simply magic!
