If you love dogs and you are now on holiday with us at Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommend you not to miss the great event that the Fuengirola Council has organised on Sunday, the 31st of March.

The event is known as “Day of the Dog” and as in previous years it will be held in the park by the Sohail Castle.

This 10th edition of the Day of the Dog will start at about 10:00 A.M. in Plaza de España with a fantastic dog walking parade that will go pass Calle Cuesta and the promenade and will finish in the park by the Sohail Castle where the main event will be held.

In this park there will be activities, raffles and exhibitions about dogs, as well as over 20 stalls where visitors can purchase different dog related products and services, and an adoption corner.

There, there will also be a food station with food and drinks available. All money raised in this section will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Make the most of the beautiful weather we have in Costa del Sol and have fun with the lovely dogs we have in Fuengirola!

25helmi

If you are currently having a great holiday with us at Hotel Angela we have great news for you, as this week the Fuengirola Council has organised several great events in Fuengirola.

On Thursday, the 28th of February, day of Andalusia, in Los Boliches for instance (in Calle Francisco Cano, Lope de Vega and Poeta Salvador Rueda) there will be some music performances, and among them there will be one of verdiales which is kind of similar to Morris dancing and it is something very typical in Malaga. Besides this there will also be a charanga band that will go past these three streets in Los Boliches and commemorative balloons and bracelets will be handed in for free.

Then, on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd, in central Plaza de la Constitucion of Fuengirola there will be a Carnival party.

On Saturday the Carnival Party is for adults, while on Sunday the 3rd is aimed to children.

On Saturday the 2nd the party will be on from 8:00 P.M. till midnight and there will several performances, like one from dance academy Chassé, and some carnival troupes and chirigotas.

If you love partying, celebrating and having fun in a great environment, you will like these two free fantastic events.

Enjoy!

La Casa de Los Navajas

Last week, here on the blog of Hotel Angela, your Hotel en Fuengirola we told you about the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Torremolinos.

Today we would like to continue talking about Torremolinos to recommend you one the most stunning and less known attractions in Costa del Sol.

Have you ever gone to Torremolinos, seen a beautiful building from the distance while having a walk along the Bajondillo Beach and have wondered what is it?

This small palace is known as La Casa de Los Navajas and was declared as Historical monument by the Andalusian Government.

It was built around 1925 by entrepreneur Antonio Navajas, was acquired by the Torremolinos Council in 2000 and it opened its doors to the public in 2014 after being restored.

Nowadays this beautiful 2-floor Moorish style revival little palace can be visited every day, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M.  and its entry is free.

If you are currently on holiday with us at Hotel Angela, and you would like to make the most of our beautiful winter sun to explore Costa del Sol, we hope you don’t forget to add La Casa de Los Navajas to your list of places not to miss.

We reckon you will love it!
