Last week, here on the blog of Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommended you visit the Fuengirola Museum to enjoy a fantastic art exhibition.

Today’s blog is also about an exhibition, though its theme is very different, as right now in Palmeral de las Sorpresas in Malaga Marina there is a fascinating exhibition about Star Wars called “Myths of a Galaxy Far Far Away”.

“Myths of a Galaxy Far Far Away” contains some unique collectors’ figures, autographs, multimedia content, life-size figures and other exclusive content of the Star Wars Saga. The highlight of it could certainly be the replica of the original Darth Vader helmet in “Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith” signed by actor Hayden Christensen.

This is the most important Star Wars collectors’ exhibition in Europe as it has received more than 1 million visitors after being displayed in several Spanish and Portuguese cities, as well as in Saudi Arabia.

The exhibition will be available until Sunday the 27th of May, and its entry price is only 6 euros, so if you are massive Star Wars fan and you are currently on holiday at Hotel Angela we hope you visit it as you will have fun discovering the secrets of one of the most famous sagas in film history.

All works there included have been made by students who attend the evening art related classes organised by the City Council.

The exhibition includes around 80 pieces, can be visited until Sunday the 24th of June, and it is totally free.

If you are currently staying with us, or you are planning to come before the 24th of June, we recommend you visit it as it will make you see how talented the people of Fuengirola are.

Day of the Bike in Fuengirola

30huhti

Did you know that this Sunday, 6th of May, it is the second edition of the Day of the Bike in Fuengirola?

In our town each day more people are leaving the car or moped aside and are starting to use bikes more frequently, which makes sense as having such great weather and so many bike paths makes it easy.

The Day of the Bike is a charity event as all funds raised will go to some to AVOI, a well-known Charity Association of Hospital Volunteers in aid of Children with Cancer in Malaga.

The event has been organised by the Fuengirola Town Council and its aim is to raise funds for charity and to make participants enjoy this beautiful sport.

This cycling route will start in the Fairground and will go through Avenida Jesús Santos Rein, Avenida Juan Gómez Juanito, Calle Camilo José Cela, Calle Málaga, Calle Héroes de Baler, Paseo Marítimo towards Los Boliches, Calle Rondeña, Avenida de los Boliches and Padre Jesús Cautivo, finishing in the Fairground where it started.

If you are currently on holiday with us at Hotel Angela and you love cycling or watching cycling events, you surely will enjoy the second Day of the Bike in Fuengirola!
