Tapas Route of Mijas 2017

Do you enjoy exploring new places and trying their typical food?

If that is the case, you might be interested in the suggestion we are about to share with you as you won’t have to go too far. The plan we are talking about is the great tapas route the beautiful town of Mijas has on every summer.

This is the 9th year it is on and 10 establishments participate in it. All of them offer every Tuesday and Thursday, till the 31st of August, from 7:30 P.M to 11:30 P.M a drink ( beer, wine or soft drink) and a lovely tapa (  savoury or sweet) for only 2.50€… it does sound great, right?

Well, if right now you have the fortune of being on holiday at Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, we certainly recommend you not to miss one of the best tapas routes in Costa del Sol.

We are sure you will really enjoy it!

Open air cinema in Los Boliches

Did you know that today from 10:30 P.M there is a free of charge open air cinema very close to our hotel, at Los Boliches Beach?

This is the 6th year in a row that this great event, organised by the Fuengirola City Council, takes place as since it started it has been very well received not only by locals but also by visitors.

Same as in previous years films will in Spanish with English subtitles so this way foreign residents or tourists will also be able to enjoy them.

This summer 2017 the films that will be on are the following:

Monday the 24th of July: “Capture the flag”

Tuesday the 25th of July: “Angry birds 2”

Monday the 7th of August: “The secret life of pets”

Tuesday the 8th of August: “The maze runner”

As you see all these films are family oriented and suitable for all, so if you are currently on holiday at Hotel Angela and you fancy spending a fantastic evening outdoors watching a film while enjoying the sound of waves we recommend you not to miss Fuengirola’s awesome open air cinema.

This is one the reasons why we say that our beaches are as great as those in the movies!

Beach warning flags

Many of you choose to come on holiday to Hotel Angela not only because of the great weather we have here but also because of our great location right by the beach.

Beaches in Costa del Sol are some of the best in Andalusia; in fact this year here we have 24 beaches with blue flags, a certification only the best beaches in the world receive.

3 of this 24 great quality beaches are in Fuengirola, and the Los Boliches one, right opposite our hotel  is one of them.

Although it is a fantastic beach with clean water and great sand we should always be cautious and check the beach warning flags before getting into the sea.

These flags are usually displayed alone on a pole and have a traffic light colour system. A green flag indicates a safe bathing condition, a yellow one, means bathing with caution, while a red one indicates bathing is prohibited as it is very dangerous.

Now that you know about this warning system we are sure you will pay more attention and feel much safer next time you go to the beach.

It is time to enjoy the sun and have a nice swim!
