Open in Winter 2013

24May

On this blog post we would like to inform you that, due to the numerous reservation Hotel Angela - Fuengirolarequests and suggestions from our guests, the Hotel Angela will keep its doors open for you this winter.

We have thought about it a lot before taking this decision to find the way to accommodate your wishes without completely setting aside the second phase of the refurbishment. The refurbishment we had planned for this winter meant that more rooms, a spa and a new area for the staff were going to get built where the tennis court was. Since this areas do not affect the services we have always delivered, we have re-planned and re-organized the work to be able to stay open.

We know that many of you did try to book a room at the Angela for next winter and as we were going to close, you couldn’t. We are sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused you, but now that the hotel will remain open you can book if you wish. For our staff it is also great news to know they will be at the Angela this winter as always and most importantly knowing that this year we will get to spend Christmas with you again, fills us with joy.

We hope to see you at the Angela this winter!

Fuengirola History Museum

06May

We are aware that many of you love Hotel Angela and are quite fond of the city of Fuengirola but did you know that we have a History Museum in town?Fuengirola History Museum - Hotel Angela Fuengirola

Located in Plaza de España, right in the city centre, this interesting museum shows you how the city looked in the old period and it did in a more modern stage.

When visiting the exhibition of Phoenician, Roman and Arabic objects you will be able to appreciate the wonderful historical heritage of Fuengirola, a place with an exceptional location that back in the day attracted many civilizations.

From the more modern period there is an exhibition of objects related to the most typical works in town before the tourist boom took place, as fishing or craft working.

Its entrance is free and it is open mornings from Tuesday to Saturday (from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M).

If you would like to know a little bit more about the past of one of the most important towns in Costa del Sol do not miss the opportunity to visit this attractive museum.

Get to know: Ángel Campano

02May

Today we would like to introduce you to our colleague Ángel Campano, the latest member of staff to join the Hotel Angela team.Ángel Campano - Hotel Ángela Fuengirola

Ángel is our new maître and he started working with us during the reopening of our beloved Angela.

He just joined our team but we know that many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting him; still we would like you to know a little more about him.

Ángel comes from Malaga and his birthday is next Wednesday the 8th of May… Do not forget to wish him a happy birthday!

He says that what he likes the most about working in a hotel is being in contact with guests and its great atmosphere. His dad was also a maître in an important hotel so considering he grew up in that environment it is understandable that he loves his job so much.

He told us that he loves rock music, jazz and classic music among many other genres… in short: he loves music and can’t live without it.

Apart from loving music he also loves books. He confesses he is a big reader and that you can even find books in his car… Well done, Ángel! Not many things are as enriching as books!

He is quite sporty and in his spare time he likes running. He has run the Malaga, Sevilla, Madrid and Berlin marathons and also more than 30 half-marathons.

When we asked him about his favourite place in Fuengirola he does not hesitate: Hotel Angela!…Considering this answer we were not surprised when he said his favourite restaurant in town is the one in Hotel Ángela too!…We are sure that many of you will agree with him.

To finish off Ángel would like to send you a lovely message: “I expect you here in Hotel Ángela and I will do whatever is possible (and even impossible things) to make you have an unforgettable holiday”.

Would you like to know more about him? Have you already met him and would like to leave him a message? You can do it on our Facebook page.
