New exhibitions in CAC Mijas

Last week here on the blog of Hotel Angela we told you about a superb sculpture exhibition in Los Boliches.

Today our blog is about art again as last Friday, the 31st of August, CAC Mijas opened 2 new amazing exhibitions.

The first one is called “Rincones de Andalucía” (“Corners of Andalusia”) and consists of paintings of Andalusian artist Jose Mesa Rincon. This exhibition will be open to visitors until Sunday, the 16th of September.

The other exhibition, also opened on Friday the 31st of August, is called “Las vacas españolas de Florida” (“Spanish cows of Florida”) and it contains the works of American artist Jim Draper.

This is based on his travels around the wild lands of Florida and Georgia and it can be visited until Wednesday, the 28th of November.

CAC Mijas is a very popular museum in Costa del Sol. Its regular entry price to access all facilities of the museum is 3 euros, and the price for groups and over 65s is only 2 euros.

The museum is in the centre of Mijas Pueblo, in calle Malaga, and it is open Monday to Saturday from 10 P.M to 6 P.M.

If you love art, Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, recommends you not to miss the opportunity to visit this beautiful contemporary art centre.

Sculpture exhibition in Los Boliches

This week our blog is about art, as right now there is a fantastic free exhibition very close to our hotel.

The exhibition is called “Un Nautilus en la Ciudad” (“A Nautilus in Town”), it is housed in the Exhibition Room of Tenencia de Alcaldía de Los Boliches, right beside Los Boliches Market, and it will be open to visit until Friday, the 31st of August, from Monday to Friday from 09:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M.

This exhibition contains sculptures by Natalia Madueño, a local artist who used the sea as the topic of her final thesis project, so it is because of this that most of the pieces in the exhibition are related to it.

Well, if you are currently on holiday at Hotel Angela, your hotel en Fuengirola, you love the sea and are also interested in art, we recommend you not to miss this amazing exhibition.

You will surely love it!

Adapted Beaches for disabled people in Fuengirola

Did you know that Fuengirola is the perfect place for people with limited mobility willing to enjoy a day at the beach?

In year 2000 the Fuengirola Council adapted Las Gaviotas beach, which is not that far from Hotel Angela as it is right opposite the Ronda 3 apartments.

Now the Council has installed accessible platforms in more spots of the coast and they also have pergolas for shade, special crutches, hoists, water friendly wheelchairs and lifeguards.

The adapted beaches are by the Castle, in the town centre beach area, in Las Gaviotas and in Carvajal.

For our part, we have adapted the accesses to the Rivera Beach Club, the beach club of our sister hotel, Hotel Yaramar, and we now have an area with 2 sunbeds reserved to people with reduced mobility.

Because in Fuengirola now everybody can enjoy the summer and our beautiful beaches!
