Handcraft Market in Mijas

12Nov

Are you currently having a great holiday at Hotel Angela and you would like to make the most of our great weather by being outdoors exploring our area?

If this is the kind of holiday you are after and you also like trying local products we are sure you are going to like this week’s recommendation.

Our recommendation is visiting Mijas to enjoy its fantastic handcraft market.

The handcraft market is on Wednesdays from 10:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M. in Plaza Virgen de la Peña, right in the centre of Mijas.

There you can purchase handmade items like jewellery, accessories, soap, cheese, marmalades and jams as well as traditional sweets from our region.

As it is an outdoor market, this is on weather permitting.

Getting from our hotel to Mijas Pueblo is very easy and affordable, as the bus to Mijas can be taken in Fuengirola bus station.

If you would like to visit one of the most stunning towns in Costa del Sol and do some good shopping, Wednesdays are certainly the perfect days to do it!

Have fun in Mijas Pueblo!

Painting exhibition in Los Boliches

05Nov

This week here on the blog of Hotel Angela we recommend you a fantastic new exhibition currently open in Fuengirola.

The exhibition is a painting one, it is free to visit and it is housed in  Los Boliches, in Tenencia de Alcaldia, right by the Los Boliches Market.

The exhibition contains the works of Finnish artist Olli Joki, who is not only a very talented painter but also stands out for his fantastic use of colours.

In his works inspired in the Mediterranean and in Spain the colours he uses are warm, while in the ones based in Scandinavia he uses cold colours like cobalt blue.

The exhibition “Olli Joke, Life in Colours” opened on Friday 2nd of November and can be visited until Thursday, the 15th of November.

If you love art in your spare time and you are currently staying at Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommend you make the most of your holiday by visiting this amazing exhibition.

You will surely love the work of Olli Joki!

The Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola 2018

29Oct

This week here on the blog of Hotel Angela we have the pleasure to announce the arrival of the great and much-awaited Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola.

This will be its 10th edition as since it first started in 2009 the number of visitors who come to our town to make the most of it has not stopped increasing.

The Erotic Tapas Route of Fuengirola will start this Thursday the 1st of November, it will be on till Sunday the 18th of November and the price of a tapa and a drink is only 2,50 €.

By the way, did you know that the Rivera Beach Club, which belongs to our sister hotel Hotel Yaramar, will participate again for the 6th time in a row?

Its friendly head chef, Salvador, who is now an expert in this kind of cuisine has prepared a fun and cheeky tapa with expectacular flavours.

The name he has given to his tapa is “Take my coat off and see I am naked” and it consists of a langoustine covered in curly fries, with milk aioli, 2 varieties of lettuce, cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar… It does sounds beautiful, doesn’t it?

If you are currently having a great holiday at Hotel Angela, your hotel in Fuengirola, and you a massive fan of Spanish food, we recommend you not to miss the best and most fun gastro route in Costa del Sol.

Bon appétit!
